Depending on how much poly 80 you put it may interfere with fizzing a little bit.

I just added powdered dye and poly 80 to my bath bomb recipe to create cool colors. Adding more of poly80 and less of water or witch hazel will decrease a risk of your bath bomb mix activating too early. Most bath bomb makers add carrier oils to their bath bombs therefore they use polysorbate 80. As you can see bath bomb without polysorbate 80 does not dissolve oils into wat.

In bath bombs add up to 6 as a wetting agent instead of witch hazel or carrier oil to make amazing bombs that fizz longer. This reduces oils from floating in the bath and ring around the tub. Up to 50 by combining poly 80 with carrier oils. I didn t have any problem with the dye staining but now my bath bombs fizz very slowly.
